Judge Krista Marx Re-elected
The Hon. Krista Marx was re-elected by the Judges of the Circuit to serve a second term as the Chief Judge of the Fifteenth Circuit. Chief Judge Marx’s current term will end on June 30, 2019. Her new term will start on July 1, 2019 and end on June 30, 2021.
Chief Judge Marx Re-elected to Chair the JQC
On November 1, 2018, Chief Judge Marx was elected by the Judicial Qualifications Commission (“JQC”) to serve as the Chair of the JQC for a second consecutive term.
The Honorable Edward Rodgers, 1927-2018
The Fifteenth Judicial Circuit mourns the passing of an extraordinary jurist and community leader, the Hon. Edward Rodgers (1927-2018).

Change in Belle Glade
The Chief Judge has announced that effective October 1, 2018, the Hon. Sherri Collins will preside over the Belle Glade Divisions (with the exception of JA). Judge Collins’ will be assisted by her Judicial Assistant, Sandra Becerra.

Family Case Inquiry
For a timely and fair processing of the inquiries by the self represented litigants in family divisions, the Circuit has implemented the following case inquiry system to be utilized by the self represented litigants.
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
In order to provide for a more unified approach and to effectuate a savings for the parties, their attorneys and the County Civil Bench in the form of judicial economy; the following changes will take effect beginning March 19, 2018.
