Palm Beach County attorneys who went above and beyond to provide pro bono legal services were recently recognized by the 15th Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee.
On October 1, 2019, Governor DeSantis appointed the Hon. Renatha Francis, who was an Eleventh Circuit Judge since 2017, to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. Judge Francis fills the vacancy created by the death of Judge Meenu Sasser. Judge Francis is assigned to the Family Division FC and Probate Division IC.
On October 1, 2019, Governor DeSantis appointed the Hon. Caroline Shepherd, a Palm Beach County Court Judge since 2009, to the Circuit Bench. Judge Shepherd is assigned to Felony Division R, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Jeffrey Colbath.

Effective Monday, July 1st 2019, the Fifteenth Circuit began a project to allow video appearances for non-evidentiary hearings in participating Circuit Civil divisions.
Effective July 15, the Hon. Ed Artau will preside over Juvenile Divisions JA and JM. Effective on November 4th, the Hon. Renatha Francis will preside over Family Division FC and Probate Division IC.

The Hon. Krista Marx was re-elected by the Judges of the Circuit to serve a second term as the Chief Judge of the Fifteenth Circuit. Chief Judge Marx’s current term will end on June 30, 2019. Her new term will start on July 1, 2019 and end on June 30, 2021.
