On October 2, Trial Court Administrator (TCA) Barbara Dawicke will retire after 19 years serving as TCA for the Circuit and more than 28 years with the State Courts System.
Throughout her career, Barbara has been grateful for the opportunity to work alongside what she considers the best Bench in the State. She is especially thankful for the support and assistance she has received from the Court Directors and her Assistant, Sue Ling Curtis, whose dedication and partnership have meant so much to her.
Barbara will greatly miss the Judges, Judicial Assistants, and staff with whom she has built meaningful relationships over the past 19 years. She is particularly thankful to then-Chief Judge Kathleen Kroll, who hired her in 2007, and to the Chief Judges who followed—Hon. Peter Blanc, Hon. Jeff Colbath, Hon. Krista Marx, and Hon. Chief Judge Kelley. Barbara is especially grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Chief Judge Kelley for the past five years and to have learned from the leadership and example of each of these remarkable judges.
Barbara also extends her heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped keep the operations of the Court running smoothly throughout the years. Their support, teamwork, and commitment have made her career both rewarding and memorable. She is also grateful for the support she has received from the Office of the State Courts Administrator (OSCA) and his staff. Over the years, Barbara has had the opportunity to work with many members of the OSCA team and has valued their dedication to supporting the circuits and helping ensure that justice is accessible to the court users they serve.
As she looks toward this next chapter, Barbara reflects with gratitude on her many years with the State Courts System and, in particular, the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. It has been a wonderful place to build a career, form lasting relationships, and serve others. She is truly grateful for the opportunity to have served the Court, her colleagues, and the community for so many years.
