Judge Debra Moses Stephens to Retire

Longtime County Court Judge Debra Moses Stephens will retire at the end of 2026 after serving close to 30 years on the bench.

Judge Stephens was appointed to the County Court bench by Governor Jeb Bush in 2000. During her tenure, Judge Stephens has served as a judge for the County Criminal, Domestic Violence and Civil Divisions, and as Administrative Judge for the County Criminal Division, Domestic Violence Court and for the Traffic Hearing Officer Program. She also served as the Administrative Judge for the Riviera Beach Civil Drug Court. Prior to her judicial appointment, Judge Stephens worked as an Assistant Public Defender for 13 years.
