Calendar Call

DIVISION AD adopted an "e-Calendar Call" format for Calendar Call that requires counsel/parties to complete and submit a single and agreed upon Calendar Call Form to Division AD's email address: CAD-DivisionAD@pbcgov.org on the scheduled date of Calendar Call.
Counsel and parties do not appear in-person or remotely by zoom for Calendar Call in Division AD. Counsel/ parties shall confer in advance of their scheduled Calendar Call and submit by electronic mail one complete and agreed upon Calendar Call Form, which Calendar Call form shall include updated contact information and mutual availability of all counsel/ parties for at least three weeks during the calendar call/trial period. The Calendar Call Form is due no later than 8:00 a.m. on the date of their scheduled-Calendar Call.

If you believe your case requires venire of more than 30 prospective jurors, please set your case for status conference as soon as the need on the Court's Uniform Motion Calendar well in advance to gain approval.
FOR JURY TRIALS: Agreed jury instructions, and a short summary of the case read to the jury, should be submitted to the Court no later than two (2) business days before trial.
IF YOUR CASE SETTLES: Counsel and/or pro se litigant/s shall:
- notify the judicial assistant immediately; and
- file and send a copy of the Joint Notice of Settlement signed by both counsel and/or pro se litigant/s to CAD-DivisionAD@pbcgov.org with an indication on when counsel and/or pro se litigant/s will file and submit the appropriate dismissal paperwork to the Court for entry. The case will remain "active" on the Court's docket until the final dismissal paperwork is submitted and the case is "closed".
Note: The order of the cases listed below is a guide as to when your case may be called by the Judge for trial.Cases marked as #1 or #2 will proceed accordingly. However, regardless of the order of the cases listed, counsel and the parties shall be trial ready at calendar call, and during the docket assigned to their case and be prepared to commence trial on 24 hours' notice. Cases are listed and shown for trial by the weeks in the docket when the case may be called by the Judge for trial. Any case may be called with 24-48 hours' notice to commence trial in the week when the case listed above it resolves, when another case resolves, or when otherwise determined by the Court. The Court expects the parties to be "on the ready" to commence trial anytime during the docket in which they are assigned, and that all parties shall comply with the Court's trial order setting their case on their assigned trial docket and track.
