FA Divisional News

PLEASE NOTE: Beginning December 1, 2017, Judge Janis Keyser will be handling Probate, Guardianship and Family (Div. FA) matters. Some of the Probate & Guardianship cases currently handled by Judge Keyser will be re-assigned to the other Family/Probate/Guardianship Judges and the Clerk will be issuing a Notice of Re-Assignment for those cases. There will be changes to the Divisional Instructions and the web page will be updated as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience during the transition. In the meantime, PLEASE APPLY THE DIVISIONAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BOTH PROBATE/GUARDIANSHIP AND FAMILY CASES, and please note the following:

ALL ORDERS, AGREED OR OTHERWISE, MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA REGULAR MAIL, HAND DELIVERY OR OVERNIGHT MAIL.  THIS DIVISION DOES NOT ACCEPT E-MAILS.

UNIFORM MOTION CALENDAR WILL NO LONGER BE HELD ON FRIDAYS (beginning 12/1/17).  Uniform Motion Calendar will be held Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 8:45 a.m.

Beginning 12/1/17, Judge Keyser will preside in COURTROOM 6D.

UNIFORM MOTION CALENDAR WILL NO LONGER BE HELD ON FRIDAYS (beginning 12/1/17).  Uniform Motion Calendar will be held Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 8:45 a.m.

Probate and Guardianship ex-parte hearings will still be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:45 A.M. (One party, no opposition, less than five minutes.)

Judge Keyser does not accept email or fax, except at the instruction of the judge or judicial assistant.

ALL ORDERS, AGREED OR OTHERWISE, MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA REGULAR MAIL, HAND DELIVERY OR OVERNIGHT MAIL.  THIS DIVISION DOES NOT ACCEPT E-MAILS.  Once signed, Orders are e-filed and e-served.  If there is a participant in the case who would need to be provided a copy of the Order but is not registered for e-service, a copy of the Order and addressed, stamped envelope must be provided for that individual/entity.

Division IB/IC still sets special set hearings by contacting the judicial assistant for times and dates.
