File your pleading with the Clerk of Court, Family Division.
Magistrate Goodwin will review the pleading and the case file to determine if the matter needs to be set for hearing. If matter is to be set for hearing, Magistrate Goodwin's assistant will set matter and notice same by Order.
For those parties with counsel, counsel will need to submit a written request to set for hearing along with a copy of the Motion to Magistrate Goodwin's office (by U.S. mail or e-mail). Upon receipt of request, Magistrate Goodwin will review the pleading and the case file to determine if the matter needs to be set for hearing. If matter is to be set for hearing, Magistrate Goodwin's assistant will contact the counsel requesting hearing and provide dates which should be coordinated with opposing counsel (if applicable).

To schedule a trial upon a Petition for Modification, file your Notice to Set Cause for Non-Jury Trial with the clerk of court. Magistrate Goodwin's assistant will call to coordinate per her instructions.
With all child support related matters heard, only an Order will be submitted to the Circuit Judge for signature. Either party will have 10 days (plus 5 days if mailing) to move that the order be vacated by the court.
Motions to Vacate:
The original Motion to Vacate should be filed with the clerk of the circuit court and a courtesy copy furnished to the appropriate circuit judge for action, with a copy being furnished to the counsel of record or the opposing party.
Magistrate Goodwin does not oppose to any party or witness appearing telephonically; however, approval must be given by the Department of Revenue (DOR). Parties wishing to appear for a hearing by telephone, must contact DOR at (561) 640-6808.
