Under direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Senior Secretary (Information Desk Specialist) provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department performing a variety of responsible secretarial, technical, and administrative functions.
High school diploma or GED; two years of experience in office skills, computer operations or a closely related field.
You would work independently and exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information. Screen telephone calls and provide information to visitors regarding locations of courtrooms, clerk’s office, or other services within the Courthouse. Perform tasks such as updating the judicial mail log, typing documents and processing mail. Interact with Judges, Clerk of Court staff, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, bailiffs, social services, witnesses, and the general public.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the legal system and legal terminology is valued; Ability to communicate clearly with others and work in a fast-paced environment with several interruptions. Familiarity with computers.
