Summary

The essential functions are to provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources (HR) Department. This position supports the organization in a combination of HR and recruiting activities. The successful candidate will have experience in and enjoy the flexibility of working in both areas competently while contributing to the broader HR needs of Court Administration. Assist the ADA Coordinator as a contact regarding ADA accommodation requests from employees and the public. Uncompromising integrity and confidentiality is required of the individual in this position. Occasional travel to the other Circuit courthouses is required. This is a State of Florida funded position and as such is eligible for:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or another discipline and a minimum of one-year experience in business administration, office skills or a related field; additional relevant experience may substitute for college education on a year-for-year basis.

Essential Duties

Under the direction of the Chief of Personnel Services, this position will assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR Department; execute all pre-employment requirements up to and including onboarding; manage the performance review process (annual, quarterly and probation reviews) and ensures timely completion by managers through consistent follow-up; assist the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator in providing acceptable accommodations for employees and the public; Identify and document relevant training and development data from performance reviews. This position will perform some aspects of the full-cycle recruiting process, including, but not limited to: posting openings on various job boards and safeguarding the company user profiles, managing the applicant tracking flow and records maintenance, assisting supervisor on strategic recruiting plans and initiatives as directed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Basic knowledge of HR regulations and labor laws especially those related to recruiting; ability to build collaborative working relationships with managers and supervisors; exceptional ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects while delivering results; attention to detail and the ability to make decisions; good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to represent the company at events (e.g. recruiting fairs); strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to work independently and think analytically; strong team skills with the ability to be flexible.
