Juvenile Divisions JA and JM - Delinquency and Dependency
All attorneys/parties appearing before Judge Edward L. Artau shall read and be familiar with these divisional instructions, procedures and disclosures:

Please call (561-355-6050) or e-mail requests for hearings to the Judicial Assistant (J.A.). Include the case number, amount of time for hearing, and any applicable deadlines. Please attach a copy of the pertinent pleading or motion with any request by e-mail and copy all parties. The J.A. will provide available hearing dates/times. After coordinating with all parties, please confirm the selected hearing date/time with the J.A.
Unless otherwise agreed, all parties shall be provided an opportunity to review proposed orders prior to their submission to the Court. Please e-mail all proposed orders to the J.A., and copy all parties with the e-mail. All orders must be submitted in Word format. Any agreed order should be so designated.

Continuances of Trials/Special Set Hearings
A timely filed motion or agreed order is required, absent extenuating circumstances.
Judge Artau has a significant other and family member who work at the Dept. of Children and Families on legal and community outreach matters, which do not include dependency cases or Children's Legal Services.
